Management
1. Who they are
1. Who they are
It would mean the absolute most to us if you got to know the team behind the work, letting us get to know you also. This builds more of a stable relationship between the staff and members, meaning members will feel a lot more comfortable coming to the team for help and support. We're always here.
2. Respect
Please respect your staff, they have worked hard on this roleplay, be it the Founder or a Game Moderator, we have all contributed to this roleplay to keep it up and running. The staff will always respect you, so please return this.
3. Impersonation
Do not impersonate the staff members or pretend to be a member of the team. If you desire a place, please wait for an opening in the applications.
4. Discipline
All staff members have the immediate 'power' to discipline a member if they are breaking the rules. The staff team will discuss the available actions if more than one are online. If not, that one staff member is able to do what they seem is correct and justified.
5. Ranks
Only staff members and most experienced tiered creatures in the ranks are able to rank/tier up members, any available member on the team.
6. Applications
When the staff applications are open, feel free to fill one out and submit it. A member of the team will reply to the application as soon as they possibly can, making you a member of staff in training. Please consider being in the group for at least 1 month OOC before applying.
General
1. Welcome back!
Whenever a member comes online, please welcome them back in a friendly manner. This is a friendly environment for people to enjoy themselves, don't leave that awkward silence hanging.
2. Check in
We would really appreciate it if you popped on the site every couple of days, enabling you to keep up with what's happening. This is where everyone will be so don't forget to tune in. We also have a Discord server where we keep in contact and up to date.
3. Respect
Treat your staff and other members with respect and it will always be given back to you. If you disrespect anyone in this roleplay, I expect someone to contact a staff member immediately to deal with the situation. Screenshots will need to be taken in order for accurate punishment.
4. Begging
Please, don't beg for ranks, family members, pups or even a staff position. We have boards on this site for adoption and litter approvals, ranks need to be earned and when we need staff, you will be able to apply. We don't give out these positions lightly.
5. Chatter
Keep the group chat in game caps free and also free of spam. I don't mind the occasional caps sentence, no one minds really. Just don't make it excessive because people mind that. Also, don't spam the chat because others may feel the need to leave the group or simply turn the chat off, missing important information and conversations. This isn't fair.
6. Activity
We don't mind activity on the game too much, as long as you're active 2 days a week. A group clean up will be done every month to avoid the crowding of inactive members. This helps us if you include a "Last Online:" segment in your group bio, letting us know if you were online even when no one else saw you.
Site
1. Display names
The display name on this forum needs to be your character's first name only. If you have two characters, placing an ~, | or & in-between the names is acceptable in order to distinguish the names. The rank, any middle names or surnames don't need to be included in this box.
2. Rank box
There is a sub-field in your profile containing the rank of your character(s), please include the rank and then your current tier.
3. Spamming
I'm all for posting to increase the post count, but please avoid spamming the site uncontrollably. Make sure to let a few other people post before you post again in order to avoid this.
4. Signatures & Display pictures
Signatures and display pictures need to be appropriate in material, size but don't have to relate to the roleplay or your character. If your using drawings, please either use your own art or use FREE linearts only, crediting the creators in your signature. I'm not for art stealing.
5. Shoutbox
Please keep this clean also, swearing at a minimum. It is only used for chatting, no roleplaying here. If a member asks you to stop talking about something, please do so. This chat is cleared once a week anywho.
6. Conversation
When talking about sensitive or triggering subjects, please use personal messages on this site instead of the OOC chat board. I don't want to see harmful content on this forum, it needs to be avoided at all costs.
Chats
1. Local
Use this for roleplaying with others.
2. General
Not permitted in public maps.
3. Group
This will be for normal chatter, no roleplaying here.
4. Party
Training sessions will be in party when a host is needed. When you're training alone, you must use party also.
5. Whisper
Use this chat for mating and other sensitive subjects inside of the roleplay. If you wish to simply use it to chat, by all means.
6. Movie
Use this for when we're recruiting or when you're holding a post but wish to say something. Myself and everyone else on the game, surely, don't want to see local spam of advertisements.
Characters
1. Colours
We only accept realistic to semi-realistic colours. We don't mind the occasional dark red mane or the pink eyes but don't take advantage and use bright yellow markings. We don't accept neon colours at all.
2. Items/Markings
Most items are appropriate, all markings are acceptable. Items such as wings, helmets, glow sticks, glasses, bubbles etc. are not allowed. After earning a rank after the grace period, you require to add an initiation item to your character so keep a slot free. When using the species list, you don't have to copy these animals to the specifics, it is just there for people to use in case they wish to. When creating hybrids, you may want to consider the weight, height, length and markings your character could have.
3. Species
If you decide you want a hybrid of species, you are only allowed to use canines with canines. We allow dog-mixes and that is all, please ask a staff member if you are unsure of your mix. Custom species are allowed, please clarify with a member of staff beforehand.
4. Size
We don't want to see youngsters that are fully sized on the game. Youngsters need to be 0 - 2 clicks on the bar. Adolescents 2 - 4 clicks. Young adults 4 - 7 clicks. Adults 7 - 10 (full bar). This height system is for large animals only, if you're going to be a smaller animal by genetics, consider that they won't be as large.
5. Presets
Presets are allowed in this roleplay, however, keep them at least semi-realistic and refrain from updating it constantly, considering this means all the members have to keep downloading your preset.
6. Number
The number of characters depends on your activity and therefore your rank. A second character can be added once your first character is out of the recruitment stage. You are allowed 3 character in this roleplay at a time, but each character before the new one needs to exit the civilian rank first. Before adding another character, always check with a member staff.
Pregnancy
1. Duration
The gestation period is, roughly, 62 - 75 days, which is two weeks OOC. This gives you plenty of time to search for members who are active to play the litter. They will need to join a few days before the birth in order to prove their activity, just like the older members.
2. Approval
Your request for a litter needs to be a approved by a staff member first, litters being most common in the spring. When wanting a litter, please consider the age, ranking, overall health of your character and the season that the roleplay is in at the time. The season juggles the survival of your litter, so does the health of the character's involved and your character's age needs to be considered in order to know if they are old enough for a litter. Your character must be at least 1 year and 6 months old before having a litter.
3. Youngling count
If you don't know how many whelps to have, use this: www.google.co.uk/search?q=number+generator&oq=number+ge&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l5.3098j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 and select the number 0 - 6. The maximum litter number is 6 for all in the roleplay, therefore you can't have any more than that.
4. Fertility
If your character's fertility is low, they're not going to be able to have as many pups as others. Using the generator, lower the number for fertility.
0 - 10% = 0 - 1 . 20 - 40% = 0 - 2 . 50 - 70% = 0 - 3 . 80 - 90% = 0 - 5 . 100% = 1 - 5
5. Interval
Please wait at least 3 months OOC before trying for another litter, your application will be turned down if you try this. 3 months OOC is 1 year IC.
6. Location
All litters will be birthed away from the group and introduced when they are 8 - 10 weeks IC (2 - 3 IC days)
Ranks
1. Grace Period
The grace period of your recruit rank is 3 days. Once you have been active for 3 non-consecutive days, you may then choose your rank to start the journey. This grace period has been allocated to avoid inactive members gaining ranks and then disappearing after two days.
2. Tags
All tags must be added after your character's name. If your name is too long, you're going to have to find a way to make that tag fit, honey. New tags can only be given to members from staff members and you gain the next tier from working in your reports.
3. Ranking up
Staff members are the only members who are allowed to rank members up, as explained previously. In order to rank up, you must work on tasks and jobs IC and OOC in order to earn the next tier. For example, a Medic would need to heal other members, collect herbs when they are low as well as check up on those that have been healed already. The more you train, the faster you will gain your tiers.
4. Demotion
If you break any rules within this roleplay, you will receive a demotion for an allocated period of time, chosen by the staff member who is completing the discipline. This is a safe and friendly environment for others to enjoy the game and the concept of the roleplay, therefore we do not tolerate disruptive behavior and it will be dealt with immediately.
5. Reports
There is a section on this site for your reports, designed to hold all of those screenshots you'll be taking during training. Your reports allow other members to see and learn from you progress as well as letting staff members reply to your reports with what you're doing well, what you could improve on and whether or not you can gain your next tier.
6. Change
If you decide to change your rank, say from a healer to a fighter, you're going to have to start right from the beginning at tier I again. Think of the tiers as your character's understanding and abilities in the rank. For example, a tier I fighter isn't going to be as educated and experienced as a tier V fighter. Bear this in mind during your training also. This means if a tier V fighter becomes a medic, they will have no knowledge in that rank and will start from the bottom. We will only allow two changes within the rank. If you return to the same rank after changing, you may have the same tier back, considering the knowledge system.
Roleplay
1. Post-cuts and order
Please do not post-cut other members who are roleplaying. Remember, if a member used -c-, >, >>, - then it means they are continuing their post. If you use those symbols, which you should do, please then finish your post with -d-, <, <<, . To avoid confusion, if there are 3 or more members roleplaying in local, please organise a post order to keep to in order to keep everything organised.
2. Powerplaying/Godmodding
Please do not powerplay or godmod during a fight. This means no supernatural powers, abilities or super strength where you can win instantly. Please remember that all creatures have weaknesses and will get tired over time during the course of a fight.
3. No autos
Do not auto-hit, auto-dodge or any other because it is considered powerplaying and will not be considered.
4. Realism
Please take into consideration behaviors, hunting styles and fighting techniques wolves actually use in the wild. Research this.
5. Fighting system
Please abide to the 3/1 rule. This means every 3 attacks placed on your character, at least one must hit. By all means have all three hit you if you'd like. This also means use the attempt method. Instead of roleplaying as if your attack will land, use words such as "aimed", "attempted", "tried".
E.g "My character would go for your character's leg." > "My character would aim to go for your character's leg."
6. Real vs Virtual
We would all appreciate it if you didn't bring your real life into your virtual life. Do not bring anything from your OOC life into IC because some people come to the virtual world to escape what's in the real one. Don't breach this for them, please.
Recruiting
1. Formation
All creatures online need to huddle or sit in a line. We are going to gather new members by numbers, proving a group of us are online is going to attract the newbies.
2. Tags
Whoever is recruiting, please make sure you have the correct tags inside of the movie clip. These are:
Literate, Semi-realistic, Mapless, Sited, Active, Dedicated, Discorded, Whisper .creep.
If you can't fit them all in, add as many as you can. Make us look good!
3. Ranks
Please ensure that new members add their tags and then, after the grace period, add their new tags for a desired rank (aimed more towards staff). After a few weeks, members without tags will be removed since it indicates inactivity after first joining.
4. Welcoming
All creatures must be welcoming to new members. If they are struggling with downloads or the site, offer your assistance and help them figure this out. Make everyone feel welcome!
5. Characters
Please do not take advantage of the recruiting account by making your own characters or changing the recruiter. Only staff will be given the recruiter's account if you are trustworthy enough for it.
6. Permission
Everyone is able to recruit by making movies, however, all whispers need to go to the recruiter account. Please do not accept whispers if you are a member. If a staff member is not online, send the newbies to this site where they can fill in an application form.
